To start, first you will need to attach a twitch.tv account to your Mojang account.

You can do this by visiting https://account.mojang.com/me/settings in your browser, and following these steps:

  • Press the Connect Twitch account button.
  • You will be asked to login to your Twitch account, do so.
  • Then you will be asked to authorize the account, simply press the "Authorize" button.
  • This will redirect you back to the settings page, were the process was either successful or not.

Once you have done this, your account is now able to stream directly to Twitch.

Setting it up

To continue, login to Minecraft and now you should see a new "Broadcast Settings..." button at the options screen.

Press it, then you will be presented with further options, where you can customize the settings further.

It is recommended that you press the "Server List" button, and selecting a different server, other than the default one.

To start or stop streaming, by default, the hotkey is to press "F6", "F8" to start commercials, and "F7" to temporarily pause and unpause streaming.
